The management board at PS Team
Peter Schmehl founds PS-Team Peter Schmehl OHG in Wiesbaden, the predecessor to PS-Team Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG. The business idea is to reduce the amount of time private individuals and car dealerships spend on vehicle registrations.
PS-Team is Germany’s largest service provider for vehicle registrations and looks after numerous car dealerships.
PS-Team becomes the first company in Germany to offer leasing companies and major vehicle fleets centrally managed vehicle registrations through more than 400 registration offices across the country.
PS-Team takes on the entire inventory of vehicle documents on behalf of a leasing company. To do this, PS-Team sets up a vault featuring an alarm system with direct connection to the police. PS-Team sets the benchmark when it comes to the security of document storage.
PS-Team is Germany’s largest document trustee.
PS-Team relocates to the current company headquarters at Klingenweg 6 in Walluf and sets up the world’s first computer-controlled stamping press for vehicle license plates.
Peter Schmehl expands the corporate structure with the addition of business units.
Heinz Moritz joins the management board. Peter Schmehl focuses increasingly on the expansion of the European business.
The Fleet, Financial Institutions and Manufacturer business units are launched.
PS-Team opens subsidiaries in France (Paris) and Warsaw (Poland), driving the international expansion independently of the licensing business.
PS-Team Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG changes its name to PS Team GmbH. Marco Reichwein becomes new managing director and steers the company together with managing director Heinz Moritz and company founder and owner Peter Schmehl.
Marco Reichwein (CEO) takes on the operational management of PS Team GmbH together with Denis Herth (CIO). Peter Schmehl and Heinz Moritz join the newly formed advisory board at the company and continue to offer their support to the new management board with their extensive expertise.
Outstanding process quality thanks to certified quality management
PS Team has been certified according to ISO 9001 since 2001. The DIN standard ISO 9001:2015 has also been in place since 2017, which features more stringent standards in the areas of information security and risk management. ISO 27001 certification followed in 2018. In many branches – including the finance and automobile industry – this is considered one of the leading standards for information security. As testing is made according to extremely high benchmarks, companies with ISO 27001 certification remain rare.
